Jan
Nimmo has been involved in education projects since 1986, ranging from
work with Primary and Secondary Schools, through course work at Art Schools and Universities,
to community projects which look at community activism
using art. She also has experience of working with special needs groups,
both with children and adults. Jan's philosophy for art workshops is
all inclusive and aims to involve everyone - even those who say "
but I can't draw...". She firmly believes that everyone has some
skill or visual talent of value. Jan tailors workshops to her client
groups whether they be issues-based, therapeutic, educational or just
for fun!
Jan
also offers a range of workshops, talks and lectures on various areas
of Latin American popular culture, including Mexican art and Cuban traditional
music.
